Alpine Coaster O’thal (O’thal Coaster)
The new adrenaline-packed alpine coaster at Fichtelberg, opened in August 2024, is a year-round track designed to operate in all weather conditions – rain, ice, or snow. It offers fun for both children and adults. The track is approximately 850 m long, featuring more than ten curves, waves, and two circular loops, and allows riders to reach a top speed of around 40 km/h. The return ride to the top is provided by a comfortable lift of about 350 m, so you don’t have to push yourself uphill – ideal for a full day of fun.
Jump & Slide Park (Children’s Park)
Located nearby is the modern Jump & Slide Park – perfect for families with children. It features trampolines with airbags, jumping towers from 1 to 10 m, and various slides. For the youngest, there is a lower children’s tower, while the higher towers allow safe jumping and abseiling onto airbags. The park is complemented by the Flyline – an exciting zipline over the terrain, up to 1,550 m long, with circular loops and small jumps, giving the sensation of flying and adrenaline at treetop height.
What to Expect:
Year-Round Operation: Both the O’thal Coaster and J&S Park operate 365 days a year in all weather.
Safety and Accessibility: Rides are suitable for children from 8 years old and a minimum height of 1.35 m; children from 3 years can ride accompanied by an adult.
Fun for Everyone: Families and adrenaline seekers alike will enjoy the combination of technical rides, freedom, and children’s attractions.
The Alpine Coaster O’thal and the adjacent Jump & Slide Park offer an excellent choice for a family outing or a fun summer day at Fichtelberg. Thanks to year-round operation, varied difficulty levels, and child-friendly attractions, it is worth visiting both in summer and outside the peak season.
